HURRICANE MELISSA RELIEF EFFORT

We are matching 100% of cashback donations from Cashblack members to trusted grassroots organisations on the ground in Jamaica and Haiti. This initiative is delivered in partnership with Black Curatorial to make sure support reaches cultural, environmental and community-led groups directly.

WHY THIS PAGE

Hurricane Melissa has disrupted homes, community spaces and cultural sites. Cashblack already runs Cashblack Giveback where members can donate their cashback to causes. For this campaign we will match member donations 100% and send them to the groups Black Curatorial is working with.

You earn cashback for supporting Black-owned brands. You donate it. We double it.

ABOUT THIS FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE

A focused response to a regional disaster using a cashback model that already exists in Cashblack.

What happened

Hurricane Melissa brought heavy rain, flooding and high winds across parts of the Caribbean. Community-led organisations are repairing buildings, supporting families, and protecting cultural sites. They need cash fast.

Why Cashblack is involved

Cashblack members already earn cashback when they shop with Black-owned businesses. Instead of withdrawing that cashback, they can donate it to this relief effort. Cashblack will match those cashback donations 100% through Cashblack Giveback.

How the match works

1) Member shops through Cashblack
2) Cashback is earned
3) Member chooses “Donate to Hurricane Melissa Relief”
4) Cashblack matches the donated amount 1:1
5) Funds are allocated across the eight confirmed organisations working with Black Curatorial

Important: this is a match on cashback donations, not a general public fundraiser. It keeps impact tied to Black commerce.
