Just Like Me Books is a small illustrated books business that utilizes Augmented Reality (AR) Technology to represent the underrepresented, striving to champion minority and disabled characters in children’s stories. The creator and founder Pamela Aculey launched the business in 2019 after her eldest son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and she struggled to find literature where he could see himself.
Just Like Me is a picture book series that champions diversity and inclusion whilst using AR technology to bring the stories to life. They are currently the only UK business using AR Technology in this innovative way.
